Frequently Asked Questions - JBEA CE for ASPPA
Webcasts
ASPPA has worked out an agreement with the Joint Board for the Enrollment
of Actuaries (JBEA) on requirements that will allow Enrolled Actuaries,
after the succesful completion of a short five-question quiz, to receive
credit for viewing an ASPPA webcast.
As with all other
ASPPA education programs, the JBEA is the final authority in determining
the number and type of credit granted.

Answers
1. How many JBEA CE credits will
each webcast be worth?
Each webcast will be worth 2 JBEA CE credits, based on a presentation
length of 100 minutes. Their core value will be included in the particular
webcast's general information page, accessible from the schedule
Web page.
2. Will JBEA CE credit be available for both live
and recorded presentations?
Yes. Attendees of the live presentation will receive a link to register
to take the JBEA CE quiz shortly after the show (in most cases within
24 hours). Attendees of the recorded archive will receive the link
as part of their information received after registering. In both cases,
the quiz will be available for three months after the live presentation.
3. If I have registered to view
the archive, how long will I have to complete the JBEA CE quiz?
The quiz will be available for three months after
the live presentation date. If you are registering to view the recorded
version two months after the live presentation, then you will have
one month to complete the CE quiz.
4. How much does it cost to take the CE quiz?
The cost of the JBEA CE quiz is included in
the registration for the webcast.
5. Several other EAs are going to sit in with
me to view the webcast. Can we all take the quiz?
To take the quiz, you must have registered
to view the webcast or the webcast recording. Therefore, if several
EAs are viewing the webcast together and all of them plan on
taking the CE quiz, then each EA must register
individually.
The quiz is not available to individuals who have not registered
to attend either the live webcast presentation or the recorded
archive.
6. Do I need to
take the CE quiz for ASPPA CE?
No. ASPPA CE is tracked by the attendee and
reported at the conclusion of the CE cycle, as outline in the
CE guidelines.
7. If
I fail the quiz the first time, can I re-take it?
No. An attendee can only take the quiz once.
8. Is
there a tutorial available on taking the quiz?>
Yes - you can view
it online here.
