Working with Multiple Employer Plans

Multiple Employer Plans seem to be cropping up more often as the economy is forcing a wave of changes in ownership. What should you do when your client informs you that they have purchased part of another company - or sold part of their company? This webcast will present a detailed overview of Multiple Employer DC plans including both Accidental Multiple Employer plans and those that are designed to be used for more than one employer. You will learn how to identify, document, test, and file 5500 forms for these plans.  We will also review the qualification rules as they pertain to this interesting type of retirement plan.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Joshua Meltzer is currently the Executive Vice President of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group. In this position he is responsible for general compliance issues relating to retirement and welfare benefit plans as well as securities. He has been in the benefits administration, compliance, and investment business for more than 25 years. Much of his time is spent helping consultants and sales people assist clients in the design of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. Before joining Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group,  Joshua was President of International Advisors, Inc., a full service benefits consulting company. He has been is a regular speaker at ASPPA and NIPA functions. Joshua holds the CPC, QPA, QPFC, ERPA, CLU, ChFC, REBC, and RHU designations. In addition, he is a general securities principal.
